Karie has a career that is close to the thirty year mark and shows no signs of slowing.  Blending her Sassoon training with private education with such industry icons as Yosh, Trevor Sorbie, and Louis Licari, as well as leadership and business mentorship, Bennett is recognized as a leader in the salon industry.  Atelier SalonSpa, the Bay Area's flagship Aveda lifestyle salonspa is frequently awarded top honors from the Aveda Corporation, and has been the recipient of numerous awards from industry organizations.

As an educator for Logics International, a division of Clairol Professional, Bennett taught in-salon hair color classes, demonstrated new color collections on stage at hair shows, and has also been a requested favorite for Aveda fashion shows, such as the Edun clothing launches at Nordstrom, and Eco-Chic.  More recently, Bennett was the platform artist for the Mini Pro Show, held in the Bay Area.

Since the successful opening of Atelier Lifestyle SalonSpa in 2002 at Santana Row, Bennett has found that the team atmosphere at Atelier inspires creativity, generates positive energy and brings the Aveda experience to a more authentic level for the client. These experiences have helped her develop a comprehensive advanced Protégé program to hone the skills of up-and-coming new stylists, as well as train her top artists to be outstanding industry mentors.

Her belief that all employees at Atelier should have career paths have grown her business to the point where Salon Today Magazine has named Atelier SalonSpa to be one of the top 200 fastest growing salons in North America 5 years running, as well as to be the recipients of the very prestigious 2008 Global Salon Business Award www.salonbusinessawards.com, given to only 75 salon owners in the world, and only 7 in the U.S., in the area of Client Philosophy and Marketing. 

Bennett's clientele is diverse: high-profile professionals from all industries, local and nationwide, as well as a beautiful local community, and her personal mission is to make a difference in her industry through a new standard of salon excellence starting with her talented Atelier team.

Having been a vocal performer in the Bay Area's musical theatre community since 1993, Bennett has had opportunities to provide theatre hair and makeup services, and is proficient in many makeup techniques, from television and print to stage and special effects.

She continues to make education and inspiration a priority and her belief in listening to and educating the client at every visit has built her a loyal following, as well as helped a new generation of hair artists find their way to success.
